Often, the very first step seems to be the hardest. And yet, at times we all need a safe space where we can speak, process, and be heard. My name is Diya Sen, and I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#125796).
I believe in being culturally respectful, sensitive, and accommodating people with different values, race, and ethnicity. I do so by being consciously attentive of my own predispositions; and I am not afraid to ask questions to gain knowledge about other cultures.
I work with couples, individuals, and families. I offer a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where you can be yourself, and gradually we work on what interferes with your emotional well-being. I am here to help you understand, explore, process, and resolve problematic relationships, feelings, emotions, and negative behavioral patterns.
Every individual is different; no relationship is the same; everyone’s experiences, and how we are wired is unique to each one of us. Being conscious of the latter, my approach to therapy is attachment based, and systemic. I work mostly with tenets of EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, Ericksonian Hypnosis, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), AEDP, PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy), EMDR, and Existential psychotherapy. I like to offer every unique individual, couples or family their own unique space in our working relationship.
I am a Certified Emotionally Focused (EFT) Therapist- for couples (EFCT) as well as for individuals (EFIT).
I am a certified Somatic Experiential Practitioner (SEP)
I am offering In-Office and Teletherapy sessions. Contact me, and come in for a consultation.
